A native of southeastern Michigan, Dylan J. DuVall attended college at Michigan State University in East Lansing, and went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Siena Heights University. He worked as a licensed Realtor and in the automotive repair industry before graduating from University of Detroit Mercy Law School. He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2008, and has been practicing law ever since.
His early years of practice focused on consumer bankruptcy. He then gained experience representing creditors. As a result, his expertise grew, and he went on to offer consulting services to other attorneys. Dylan extended his knowledge through the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Probate and Estate Planning section of the State Bar of Michigan. Through these he was able to earn a Certificate of Completion in the areas of probate and estate planning. He has assisted a wide range of clients in estate planning. Dylan has proven a trusted source of legal counsel for clients with modest estates, and those whose estates require more significant planning. He also has assisted trustees and personal representatives in administering estates, including those requiring probate litigation. Dylan also represents businesses of all sizes and in a variety of industries, providing general counsel services for businesses that do not need a full-time in-house counsel. In addition, he is an experienced civil litigation attorney.
While working with closely the entrepreneurs to provide quality, affordable legal advice, Dylan has come to believe that business can lead change and shift society to a more sustainable path. To put this into practice, he sits on the board of the Southeast Michigan Sustainable Business Forum, serving as Chairperson (2018-2020), which nurtures a local, diverse, resilient, just and democratically led triple bottom line business community and economy in Detroit and SE Michigan.
